Every appointment starts with a property survey to assess roof finishes and condition, gutter condition, and, if appropriate, roof light condition to assess the best treatment and roof recoating product and application regime, as well as access restrictions, safety, and operational continuity of the business.
We will also consider the ‘Green Credentials’ including the existing thermal performance of the building and where changes would help improve energy efficiency and carbon footprint of the building and the business.

New EPC details
The Government updated the commercial EPC software in June 2022. The new software reflects the much lower carbon emissions from Britain’s Grid electricity due to the construction of the world’s largest offshore wind farms in the North Sea over the last 23 years. The new commercial EPC software rewards buildings that use efficient electric heat pumps to deliver winter heating and punishes offices that continue to burn gas for winter heating. The burnt gas releases carbon dioxide pollution directly from the building. Therefore, there is a shift away from gas heating towards grid-supplied electricity.
As an example, heat pumps can offer up to 500% efficiency per kWh and will be the mainstay of heating and cooling solutions going forward. RRC can advise on how to incorporate more energy-efficient solutions into your business.
